Jim Dawson is a professional contractor who graduated from the Carpentry Program at Smith Vocational High School in Northampton, MA in 1977. Since this time, he has been independently employed. The name of his company is Himself the Elf Construction, a nicknamed that he picked up in the U.S. Navy due to his small stature which led to repairs jobs on the ship which required a small person. Jim spends his days doing remodeling work, new construction and custom cabinet making.
