Rug Braiding
Dates: Wednesday, 5:00-7:00pm, 10 Weeks Tuition: $80 Instructor: Diane Welter

Rug Braiding is used to create beautiful, sturdy rugs, using new or recycled fabric - usually wool. Choose your shape (oval, round, rectangular, etc.) and then develop your color scheme. Learn the techniques of braiding, lacing, increasing, tapering, butting and more as you make your own rug. The basic process is simple but there are many techniques and tricks to insure your rug lays flat and lasts a lifetime. While braided rugs are celebrated for their warm, traditional look, you can easily achieve a contemporary look or make objects other than rugs (cats love braided baskets!)
