While majoring in architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, I studied drawing and painting with George Rickey, an internationally known sculptor. In the late 1980’s, I began watercolor instruction with Anne Mueller at Holyoke Community College and later at the Hill Institute with Greta Carey and Russ Cross.
In the last few years, I have painted primarily in water media. I enjoy the spontaneity of watercolor and the quickness of acrylic, and prefer a painting style that has proportionate amounts of looseness and precision.
I have given painting demonstrations at the Deerfield Valley Art Association and the Holyoke League of Arts.
